Paragliding is a recreational adventure sport where you fly a lightweight, foot-launched glider aircraft. In tandem paragliding, you fly with an experienced certified pilot who handles all the controls — you simply enjoy the breathtaking views over the Himalayan valleys of Junga, Shimla.

Paragliding at The Glide Inn is priced at ₹2,850 per person + 5% GST. A GoPro video of your flight is available for ₹500 extra, paid directly to the pilot after a successful flight.

No prior experience is required at all! Our certified tandem pilots handle everything. You just need comfortable clothing, closed-toe shoes, and the excitement to fly. A brief safety briefing is given before every flight.

The actual flight time is between 7 to 12 minutes, depending on wind conditions and passenger weight. The complete experience — including travel to the takeoff point, briefing and flight — takes around 40 minutes in total.

Yes. The Glide Inn operates a Government-approved paragliding site with commercially licensed tandem pilots. All gliders are equipped with reserve parachutes and undergo annual safety inspections. Passengers and pilots are insured for ₹10 lakhs each. It is considered safer than driving a car when conducted with proper safety protocols.

Yes. The minimum age is 12 years and the maximum weight is 98 kg. Children under 12 can experience our Virtual Reality (VR) Paragliding instead. Participants must be in reasonable health. Those with heart conditions, severe back or neck problems should consult a doctor before flying.

Wear comfortable two-piece clothing (avoid dresses/skirts) and closed-toe shoes such as sports shoes or trekking shoes. Avoid loose jewellery or accessories that may get caught in equipment. The team provides all safety gear including harness and helmet.

Come to The Glide Inn in Junga village, approximately 18 km from Shimla, 24 km from Kufri and 13 km from Chail. Transportation to the takeoff point is included in the paragliding package. See our How to Reach page for directions.

Zorbing is a thrilling adventure activity where you roll down a hill inside a large, transparent inflatable ball. It's an exhilarating experience that combines fun, laughter, and a mild adrenaline rush — suitable for the whole family.

Yes! Children above 5 years old can participate in Zorbing with parental supervision. It is one of the most family-friendly activities at The Glide Inn.

A typical Zorbing session at The Glide Inn lasts approximately 5–10 minutes. The activity is conducted under strict safety protocols with trained professionals ensuring a safe and fun experience throughout.

Wear comfortable, fitted clothing and secure footwear such as sports shoes. Avoid wearing loose accessories like scarves, chains or belts that might get caught inside the ball during the activity.

Reverse Bungee (also called Bungee Rocket) is an activity where participants are launched backward into the sky at high speed using powerful elastic cords. Unlike regular bungee jumping where you fall down, in Reverse Bungee you are shot upward — a truly heart-pumping experience!

Participants must be at least 10 years old. Those with heart conditions, spinal issues, recent surgeries or pregnancy should not participate. If in doubt, please consult your physician before booking.

Yes. The Glide Inn ensures the highest safety standards for Reverse Bungee, with trained professionals overseeing every aspect of the activity. Safety harnesses and equipment are checked before each session.

The launch itself lasts only a few seconds, but the adrenaline rush and the memories last a lifetime! The complete experience including safety briefing and harness fitting takes 15–20 minutes.

Tree Top Adventure at The Glide Inn includes 9 exciting activities high in the pine canopy: Bamboo Ladder, Commando Net, Mix Bridge, Tyre Walk, Bamboo Walk, Zip Line, Wire Walk, and Plank Walk. All activities are conducted with safety gear and under the supervision of experienced adventure instructors.

Absolutely. All Tree Top Adventure activities use full safety harnesses and are conducted under the watchful eye of The Glide Inn's experienced adventure instructors. Safety briefings are given before every session.

Each cottage features one double bed on the ground floor and one dome tent on the mezzanine floor, comfortably accommodating up to 4 guests. They come with an attached bathroom, hot water supply and beautiful scenic mountain views.

Yes! All cottage bookings include all three meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), plus morning and evening tea. Hygienic, wholesome meals are prepared fresh by our kitchen team using quality ingredients.

Yes, Wi-Fi is available at The Glide Inn. However, we encourage our guests to disconnect from screens and truly immerse in the peaceful Himalayan environment — the mountains are far more refreshing than any social media feed!

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at The Glide Inn. This policy ensures the comfort, safety and peace of all our guests, as well as the preservation of the natural wildlife in our surrounding forest.

Fixed Tent Camping features permanent tents with double beds — a comfortable camping experience without sleeping on the ground. Tents can be fully zipped shut for privacy and warmth. They are safe for both children and adults.

All camping packages include all three meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner), morning and evening tea, an evening bonfire, and live music from 8:00 pm to 9:45 pm. Quilts, blankets and extra sleeping bags are available if needed.

The Glide Inn provides quilts, blankets and extra sleeping bags as needed for cold nights. The Himalayan mountain air can be quite cool, especially in winter months, but our team ensures every guest is comfortable and warm throughout the stay.

The evening bonfire and music session runs from 8:00 pm to 9:45 pm every day. It's a magical experience sitting around the fire under the Himalayan stars with music echoing through the pine forest.

Dome Tent Camping offers a unique glamping experience in stylish dome-shaped tents. They are available in two configurations: twin sharing and four sharing, with floor bedding (mattresses, blankets, pillows and sleeping bags). Dome tents can be fully zipped shut and are safe for both children and adults.

Yes! Dome Tent Camping includes all three sumptuous meals, morning and evening tea, bonfire and evening music — the same full experience as Fixed Tent Camping.

Fixed tents have double beds (raised off the ground) for a more comfortable sleep, whereas Dome tents have floor bedding (mattress on the ground) — perfect for those who want the authentic camping feel. Dome tents also have the distinctive round shape that creates a unique stargazing ambience.

All treks at The Glide Inn start from our landing site. We offer three trekking options of varying difficulty: Waterfall Trek (moderate, 2–3 hours), Old Tara Devi Temple Trek (3–4 hours), and Take-Off Point Trek (6–8 hours, extreme).

The Waterfall Trek is a moderate 4 km round trip trek through the Himalayan pine forest, taking approximately 2–3 hours. It leads to a spectacular 100-foot perennial waterfall. Children above 8 years can do it with ease. The trek is guided and road transport is included.

Essentials for trekking: sports or trekking shoes (closed toe, good grip), comfortable clothing suitable for the weather, a water bottle, a small backpack, and optionally sunglasses and a towel. Guides provide briefings and safety instructions before every trek.

We offer fully customised day and overnight corporate packages including team building games, adventure activities (moderate to extreme trekking, paragliding, Tree Top Adventure), night camping with bonfire, and hygienic kitchen facilities. The entire 5-acre property can be booked exclusively for corporate retreats.

Our school programmes combine outdoor camping with educational experiences across our 5-acre property surrounded by mountains and forests.
